Just Add Water Theatre Company

‘Just Add Water’ is the partner company of Theatre Elliptical. They debuted with a two-man devised physical theatre performance ‘Drums, Face, Rat Race,’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004. .

 

For the following productions: ‘Needy In The Morning’ (2005) and ‘To Be Conformed’ (2007) the company worked with classical dancers, poets, stand-up comedians, actors, and drummers and found their voice, performing at the Edinburgh festival, Capital Theatre in Manchester and at Salford University.

 

Ben Moores was the sole writer of ‘Why Me?’ in 2009; a production exploring one man's existential crisis and search for meaning in life. It was nominated for the Best New Writing award at the Buxton Fringe Festival and was described as 'comic and mesmeric' by Buxton Fringe Review. It then went on to a successful run at Contact in Manchester (2010) and Davenham players in Cheshire.

 

Bobby was performed as part of the Buxton fringe festival in July 2012 and was nominated for the ‘Best New Theatre Production Award’. It was described as creating 'faultless ensemble performances, physicalised with stunning slickness,' by Fringe Review. Bobby then went on to be performed in a performance at the Lowry studio Salford in April 2013. One audience member wrote: 'One of the most powerful pieces of theatre I have seen. Bobby himself came to life in front of my eyes; it was quite remarkable'.
